Mark Hubber Bike(s): 61 Lambretta Series II Li 150 & 1964 Series III TV 175 , 1979 P200
Mark started riding scooters in 1966 around his home town of Romford Essex England. His first scooter came along when he managed to scrounge up enough money to buy a fairly beaten up 1957 Lambretta LD 125 from a mate. After a move to Canada, and a 30 year break from anything to do with scooters, Mark happened to come across a Vespa parked in a Victoria parkade. With the smell of two stroke, and the memories of the fun riding the LD (when it ran), swirling around his head Mark decided there and then to look around for his second scooter. Many months of searching later he found an almost complete and rebuilt '61 Lambretta Series II LI 150 in Toronto, which he had shipped out to Victoria and restored it. As the bug had now firmly taken hold it wasn't long before Mark was ordering a 1964 Series III TV 175, rebuilt and restored by ScootRs in Vietnam which has now become his main ride. Mark also owns a '79 P200 (his token Vespa) which, with the help of some club mates, is in the final stages of it's restoration.

Rawb Nesbitt Bike(s): 1980 Vespa P200
My name is Rob Nesbitt. I first became aware and interested in scooters in 1984 when I was emerging as the only mod in the small town I had just moved to. In 1998 I purchased my first scooter. A $1,000 piece of trash that is now a gleaming pseudo- custom cash-hog. (See Scoot! Quarterly Winter 2001 for a more detailed history of this scooters retoration.) I like Glenn Danzig. www.suitesixteen.net

Chris Cowley Bike(s): Lambretta LI 150 w/ 175 topend
Captain Cowley joined this mob of marauders in November of 2000, with his purchase of his SX 150 which was proptly upgraded to a 175. Don’t let the shy exterior fool you… he’s ruthless and is known across seven seas for being a loose cannon. His scooter, aka The Lambyque, “supposedly” spontaneously combusted at a gas station during the Seattle rally. Rumor has it though, the gas attendent made a smart remark, igniting Chris’s temper. In response, Chris lit his scooter on fire right beside the pump, in an attempt of mass destruction. He can usually be found sitting on the stoop at the "Scooter House", havin' a pint at Spinnakers, or studing at UVic to be an unemployed Anthropologist. Listen to Chris every Sat. at 3:00 pm on CFUV Victoria where he hosts an all Ska radio show …. Skanksters Paradise!

Ian Rossiter Bike(s): 1986 PGO 125

Heather Croft Bike(s): 1975 Vespa Super 150
It was the summer of 1996, the night of the Sex Pistols in Vancouver. With nowhere to stay after the concert, my friend and I ended up lost and wandering around downtown Vancouver. The night became surreal as we saw the Wizard of Oz projected on the side of an old building from the gravel of an empty lot and helped a wren escape from an underground parkade. We then passed a row of scooters dripping with chrome and veiled in a cloud of blue two- stroke smoke and I had a fantastic vision of the meaning of cool. The seed of obsession was planted… I found my 1975 150 Super in Seattle the summer of '99. I ride it to work every day, and a little further on sunny days. I'm also a member of the Wild Cherry Scooter Club.

Matthew Watson Bike(s): Nautical Vespa Sprint 150

Richard Hoar Bike(s): 1981 Vespa P200
I've been Scootering since June 2001 on my Trusty '81 P200. I enjoy the CCSC and putting on Rallies every year. I ride every week with the SVIS: currently we're meeting at the Moka House on Shoal Point (Fisherman's Wharf) at noon. I've learned a lot about Vespa Largeframes over the years and I run Vespa Maintenance which is an online guide to working on a Vespa. Gimme a wave if you see me on the road! :) I killed my scooter in 2005 :_( I now have a lambretta, which is living up to its reputation - Being awesome while not running.

Jonathan Adams Bike(s): 1980 Vespa P200E
Joined the club after bringing 'ol smokey' to a close excuse to running condition. Is hoping this will be a healthier counter to his other hobby, single malt whisky.
